Why 60 Is The New 30!

You know my sweet readers, I never understood why women would be afraid to tell their real age. I guess in days gone by if you were over 30 you were done and pretty much sent out to pasture (at least in TV and modeling fields). But now things have changed -- women like Christie Brinkley (66), Jane Fonda (82), and Helen Mirren (75) all have shattered the stereotype that 30 is the end…heck now it’s not even the beginning!!!

I love being my age… 61 and I am proud to tell people. I feel and look better now than I have in a long time with a lot of less societal pressures. I think it’s important that we women share our true age so that younger women are proud to grow older, better, prettier and wiser. Why hide it?

So, when I received my AARP membership in the mail it used to mean “Oh no, I am OLD!”. Now it means “I can stock up on my daily essentials and be rewarded for it and save money”. I want to share with you the savings I get and encourage you to get them too! You won't believe the benefits of being an AARP member -- they are truly fantastic! I get discounts on everyday products I buy at Walgreens through my AARP Membership. Join today so you can start getting the benefits too -- your wallet will thank you!

**Thank you Walgreens and AARP for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own!**
