Are you ready for some Football!?

Just because we can’t make it to a stadium doesn’t mean we can’t have an epic tailgate party right here! Truth be told I was always all about pink, frills and make up till I had a son!  What a gift to be introduced to stinky uniforms, dirt that is caked into cleats and groups of big sweaty boys that have bottomless pits for food! Honestly though, Hunter's years of playing football were some of the best times of our lives as a family. We had a house that wasn’t very big or fancy but all the kids loved to come hangout at our house, which made it a million dollars mansion to us. They would pile on our couch and I would make literally 20 or 25 sandwiches daily in between 2 a days football practices. I cherish those memories to this day.

We are a football family through and through from our late dog named Brady to Jerry being a quarterback in college and Hunter following in his dad’s footsteps, has played all sports since he was about two. No matter where you gather with family and friends to watch sports, just do it (safely of course!). It creates an amazing bond and fun and memories for life. So to help you game day like a pro, I’m sharing some tips on how to plan your Sunday right by creating a tailgate party in your very own driveway!

  • Food is Your MVP: Anyone that’s been to a tailgate party knows that it’s all about the food! So whip up a famous family recipe appetizer, side dish, or dessert and of course you can’t go wrong with something on the grill! Or if you don’t want the hassle of cooking, order some pizza or place an order with your favorite local place.

  • Make the Game Fun for Everyone: Plan some fun and lighthearted games together to engage and create some fun for those guests who aren’t so enthralled in what play Belichick has up his sleeve. Bonus points if the winner gets a silly prize!

  • Add Some Style: Step up your tailgate game with some adorable accessories or a tablecloth to make your at-home tailgate that much more memorable. All you have to remember is that a little presentation goes a long way!

Embrace the fun and remember that at the end of the day it’s all about time with family and friends! And for even more at-home tailgate inspo check out my latest segment on Home and Family! CLICK HERE TO WATCH!
